Todos Santos Composition Workshop, The “Art of Seeing”

Participating in the composition workshop in Todos Santos is geared to those who want to improve “how to see” photographically, going from snap shots to fine art. The workshop is aimed at strengthening your framing skills, taking what you see in the world and shrinking it to perfect composition within your camera’s viewfinder.

As you shoot suggestions, feedback and tips will be offered. Trying out these suggestions contributes to instant improvement. The more images are shown in your LCD screen, the more feedback you will receive and the faster improvement.

All cameras from point and shoot to professional DSLR’s are welcome. The only prerequisite for either level is to know the basic technical functions of your camera (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance).

The sessions are 2.5 hrs and divided into Level 1 and Level 2.

  • Level 1 is for those who have not taken a session, learning the basics of framing and composition.
  • Level 2 is for participants who have take a session and want to delve deeper into  the elements of composition and storytelling.

We will be walking the streets of Todos Santos for Level 1 and the locations for Level 2 will be announced prior to the session.

Participants will come away with a better perspective and understanding on how to achieve more fine art images.
